We've changed distributors to EverAfter Romance. What does this mean? GREAT THINGS! Our books -- the Addicted / Calloway Sisters series + Amour Amour -- are now available in MANY more distribution channels. It also means that you can go to your local bookstore and request any of our books. They won't be in the store on the shelf, but your store can order the book for you right there :) This also means that the books might have the opportunity to be shelved if enough people ask for them!

WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT THE NEW 2016 EDITIONS?
The covers are the same, but the interiors have been reformatted to appear much more uniform from book-to-book. The books are physically a tad bit taller, but not by much! Some Kind of Perfect will fit these new editions in height, not the old editions.
WHAT IF YOU NEED TO FILL IN YOUR COLLECTION WITH AN OLD EDITION?
We know the height difference between the old editions and the new ones pose some issues for those trying to fill in their old collection. You won't be able to buy any old editions on Amazon. Forever and always as of right now, the new 2016 editions are the only ones available. The old ones are no more. Except for our website! We stocked up on the old editions before they went out of stock, so we have a very limited number of old edition books. When we resume our signed paperback orders (currently, we're taking a short break from orders), there'll be an option to purchase the old editions.
SEATTLE SIGNING ATTENDEES: What you need to know!
We will only have OLD editions for sale at our table. If you'd like the new 2016 editions you can buy them right now on Amazon :) If you want an entire set of the old editions, please rush to our table first. It's very unlikely we'll have all 9 books available towards the end of the signing. We don't take pre-orders, but we're going to try to stuff more copies in our suitcases just in case!
There will also be a Fizzle Force get-together after the event where we chat about our books and answer any fan questions while eating some good food. It'll be on Saturday at 6 p.m. at The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen. Please visit the Fizzle Force FB Group in case there are any changes -- and to RSVP in the comments to this post if you can!
We're so excited to see all of youuu!! *grinning wide* We also have a special gift for everyone attending the Fizzle Force dinner. Can't wait to see you then ;)
why the new release date?
This is one of the hardest decisions we've had to make, and we tried with all our might -- with all our energy and strength -- to make the release date we'd set. We're just human, and we push ourselves past our limits more than you all see. We've made hundreds of personal sacrifices for our dream and we'd make a million more.
Like Connor Cobalt, our greatest foe has always been time. It's so precious to us. It's why we haven't been on social media for a while. It's why we wake up at 8 a.m. and go to sleep at 3 a.m. with only 2 hours in between all of that to eat. We write and write because we love it -- but we look up and the time is gone.
And we think, "Oh God, we need more." It only felt impossible until recently. It felt like we were in a battle against our will and the clock and no matter what we did, we couldn't find more minutes, more hours possible to succeed.
We're disappointed in ourselves. For believing we could do everything in such a short amount of time. For pretending to be superhuman when we're just mortal. For wishing we could give you everything when we can only give you some things.
Some Kind of Perfect is long. We spaced out a set of time for a 100,000 word book. We would've, without a doubt, made this release date had it been 100,000.
The book is around 150,000. In comparison, it's about as large as Addicted for Now. It's taking much longer to edit. Could we still deliver the book to you in April? It's what we've been asking ourselves -- pretending we have some sort of wings. Pretending we could edit and polish in our sleep. "We can forgo showers," we even suggested to one another. It'd take all of our energy, but sure, we could do it. Some Kind of Perfect would be riddled with typos. It'd have mistakes we wished we caught. We'd look back and be filled with regret.
This is the end.
It's the last book in a series that's been with us for years. We're so proud of this story, and to know that little mistakes might hinder a reading experience -- or in the very least, make us cringe that we didn't see it and fix it before we handed it to you -- is not what we want.
We don't want to go out with our hands over our eyes. We want to go out with our fists in the air.
We planned to do Buzzfeed style quizzes like "Which Calloway Sister Are you?" and a very special character interview -- all before the release date. We wouldn't be able to do this in April.
There'd be no fanfare. No teasers from us. There would be silence and then a messy book. It wouldn't be up to our standards. As hard as it is to admit that we made a mistake in announcing an unachievable release date and going back on our word, it'd be harder for us to stomach putting out work that's not our very best. We want to celebrate with you.
And now we can.
May 20th, 2016. Mark your calendars. This is the release date!
We're so, so sorry that we had to change it. And thank you so much to everyone who's created beautiful countdown posters -- what's great is now we can use them again on Facebook :)
WE ALSO WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE PAPERBACKS: this is the second reason why we fell behind. If you've seen on Facebook (we haven't made a post here about it yet) -- we had a huge opportunity to expand the distribution channels of ALL our paperback novels. This meant that we had to change distributors. But we jumped at the idea. Because this meant it'd be easier for readers to find our paperbacks. Maybe those who really wanted and couldn't get it before, now could. We were so excited, but there was a huge time cost.
We do everything ourselves. Interior design and cover design. If we took this opportunity, it'd come with a lot of work. We'd have to redo our interior files (the design only) and fix the covers to fit the new kind of templates (same design but an incredible amount of work goes into this -- hours upon hours that actually ate up an entire week).
And in the very end, we can only turn to ourselves and say, "You're not superhuman. You can't do everything." No matter if we want to, so badly, do more than we can.
We hope you'll all still be there on May 20th.
We hope you'll want to celebrate with us.
We hope you'll understand.
All the love,
Krista & Becca
