LONG WAY DOWN
WHAT THIS BOOK MEANS TO US...
MY (NON-SPOILERY) FEELS for the END OF THE ADDICTED SERIES
(as written by Becca)
I don't think there's a book -- more than this one -- that I've been clutching to my chest and thinking "I can't let go yet". I want you all to read what's been in our heads for years (yep, literal years we've been imagining parts of this book and they've finally come to life). But I keep thinking, "this is where you read the very last page. This is where you see the end." -- and like the Calloway sisters have so often said, it feels like the end of an era. I guess it's like Fuel the Fire's epilogue (the sentiments of those pages). Time to move forward, but it'll never stop being bittersweet.
I just want to thank all of you for joining us on this journey. Allowing us to write 9 massive books -- I can't even tell you what it's meant to us. And exploring characters in years of time. It's a gift you've given us, and we're so thankful and grateful. When looking back at book one and remembering each step, each page, each chapter, each beat -- there is only love in our hearts.
So maybe we'll never be ready to let go, but come November 20th, you all will hopefully share our feels. And you'll see the history and nostalgia laid flat like us, and cry remembering the moments they all met. The moments this all began. It's almost here, everyone. Definitely -- most definitely -- grab a box of tissues. Krista and I have yet to read this without full-on sobbing, and if you've stuck with the series this far, you have some love in your heart for these characters too <3 *hugs the Fizzle Force*
